Geekbench 3 recognize iPad mini (retina) as 32-bit chip?
Hey guys,
I just find out Geekbench 3 ver 3.1.4 (full support chip A7 64 bit) recognize that my iPad mini (retina) using chip A7 but with processor id as ARMv7 32-bit, not as official annoucement from Apple that A7 is new 64-bit chip? Why is that? Is there any version 32-bit A7 chip out there?

Hi,
Thank you for your message. Have you installed any non-standard system software packages on your iPad? Some of these packages remove the ability to run 64-bit software, so even 64-bit processors appear as 32-bit processors in Geekbench.
Best,
John

Dear John,
Nope, I've already restored my iPad mini (retina) with newest iOS, it's completly clean without any non-standard system software. But it's still be recognized as 32-bit. Help me, thanks.

Hi,
Restoring your iPad may not fix the problem if you've installed non-standard system software on your iPad or if you've jailbroken your iPad. iOS automatically selects which version of the software to run (32-bit or 64-bit) so there's nothing we can do to work around the issue. Sorry!
Best,
John
