2008 MacPro vs. Current Latest MacPro Speed / Performance
I'm trying to determine if the latest MacPro (vs my 2008 version) will render video faster. I use Photodex Proshow Producer and it can take 6 - 8 hours to render a 2 hour Blu-Ray Disc slide show & music.
If I can see a significant improvement in Geekbench scores between my current 2008 MacPro and scores for the most currently available version (2013 MacPro), I may consider purchasing the new Apple MacPro when it is available later this month or in January.
Any data or thoughts?
Thank you!
Joel

Do you have speed data you can share on current MacPro systems using Geekbench?
Thanks,
Joel

Hi Joel,
Thank you for your message, and I'm sorry for the delay in getting back to you. You can find performance data for the new Mac Pro systems on our Mac Benchmark Chart.
Best,
John
