Why does GeekBench 3.1.2 identify my Mac Pro as a mid 2010 model when System Information on my Mac Pro indicates that it's a mid-2012 model?

Hi Charles,
Thank you for your message. Geekbench cannot reliably determine if it's running on a 2010 model or a 2012 model given that both models have very similar hardware configurations. This issue shouldn't affect benchmark performance.
Let me know if you have any other questions and I'd be happy to help out.
Best,
John
