After updating to 10.6.8, Geekbench crashes in both 32 and 64 bit. It worked fine in 10.6.7.

    Hi John,

Thanks for your message, and I'm sorry you're having problems running Geekbench. I've looked at the crash report and it's not clear what you're doing when Geekbench crashes. Can you tell me what to do to reproduce the problem?

    Thanks,
    John

I'm getting a similar issue when I try to run GeekBench 64 or 32 on a newly built Hackintosh 10.6.8.

I'm not doing anything other than lauching the application.

Only geekbench launched with no other programs running. It crashes at launch and the screen asks if I want to send a report to Apple. I have not done that yet. When I get back to the office on the first of the week, I will try again and update another Mac and try it.

I moved the geekbench to the system drive applications folder. Had been running from a second internal hard drive. Ran fine. Then ran the program from the second drive and it ran fine. ?? But I am now able to get my comparison scores

That's strange, but I'm glad Geekbench is working for you now. I'm still investigating the crash logs that both you and Wes provided; hopefully I'll have a solution for the problem you both encountered.

    Best,
    John
