Hi Robert,
Thanks for your message. You can extract and run Geekbench for Linux by issuing the following commands:
We'll investigate adding DEB packages as a download option.
Thanks,

Hi Andrew,
You need to install the 32-bit compatibility libraries if you want to run the 32-bit version of Geekbench on the 64-bit version of Ubuntu:

Can't figure how to open a test file after saving it, I can open it as text but I would like to see it in the initial graphic form that I get right after running the test.
Thanks,
André

I am actually having the same problem that this topic was founded. I am running a 64 bit version of Ubuntu Linux 11.04. I ran "sudo apt-get install ia32-libs" through and got "Reading package lists... Done
Building dependency tree
Reading state information... Done
ia32-libs is already the newest version.
The following packages were automatically installed and are no longer required:
linux-headers-2.6.38-8-generic linux-headers-2.6.38-8 Use 'apt-get autoremove' to remove them.
0 upgraded, 0 newly installed, 0 to remove and 0 not upgraded.
"
Even trying going through package manager I get no results for said lib.
Further instructions would be great.
Nathan.

Hi Nathan,
You only need ia32-libs to run 32-bit Geekbench on 64-bit Ubuntu (I've verified this on a clean install of Ubuntu 11.04). What output are you seeing when you try and run Geekbench?
Thanks,
John
