terminal command

even though i've tried installing the terminal commands a couple of times, the files still do not exist and i keep getting the error message

    Hi Jake,

    Thanks for your message, and I'm sorry you're having problems installing the terminal command. Could you send me the output of the following commands:

    ls -al /usr/local/
    ls -al /usr/local/bin/
