hd cable interchangeable?

Hi
I have a 13 MacBook white late 2007 anf a MacBook pro late 2007 15. I took the had drive out of the MacBook and put it in the MacBook pro because my lcd screen is over on my MacBook.. I got the question mark folder on the screen of my Pro. can I swap out hd cables between the two?
