I have two PowerPC G4 machines running Mac OS X that I would like to compare using Geekbench, primarily to discard the lesser machine.

I have downloaded Geekbench 3 and double clicked the file, but the icon in the dock immediately disappears. I also downloaded Geekbench 2, which promptly warned me, "You cannot open the application 'Geekbench.app' because it is not supported on this system."

Does Geekbench not support Mac OS X version 10.4.xx?

Geekbench 2.2.0 was the last version of Geekbench that supported OS X 10.4. You can download Geekbench 2.2.0 from the following URL:

    http://geekbench.s3.amazonaws.com/Geekbench-2.2.0-Mac.zip

Let me know if you have any other questions and I'd be happy to help out.

    Best,
    John
