I have a custom built PC and when I run geekbench the model/name show up as "System manufacturer / system product name". Is there a registry key or other configuration that I can make to make this less generic?

This is the example:

Thanks!

    Hi karp,

Geekbench reads the "System Manufacturer" and "System Product Name" directly from the BIOS. Unfortunately it's not possible to update the BIOS to change these settings so you're stuck with the generic names (at least for now).

I am investigating ways to allow people to nickname their systems in the Geekbench Result Browser. This'll hopefully help people distinguish between similar "generic" systems.

    Best,
    John

On my desktop, I didn't realize it until after it was uploaded that it didn't have a name, so I cannot click to see the full results. I had it output the results for backup, and it was just a tab for the model string.
