I tried to run the app, but it crashes when I try to run it. Any assistance is appreciated. Running OSX 10.8.2

Thank you for your message, and I'm sorry you're having problems running Geekbench.

Could you send us any crash logs so we can investigate the problem? Crash logs are located in the Library folder. To locate the Library folder, choose 'Go to Folder' from Finder’s 'Go' menu and type:

    ~/Library/Logs/DiagnosticReports/

Please send us any files in that directory that have Geekbench (or geekbench) in the filename.

    Thanks,
    John

Thanks, Nelson. We will investigate the issue. Do you remember if other versions of Geekbench crashed on your system?

    Thanks,
    John

    Hi John,

I just got this system and there is nothing installed on it other than OSX and Office.

    Hey John,

Haven't heard back from you; were you able to find out anything?

    Thanks

    Hi Nelson,

Sorry for the delay in getting back to you. I've looked at the crash report and it's not clear what the source of the crash is on your system. Would you be willing to run a special build of Geekbench to help track down the problem?

    Thanks,
    John

    Hello Gents,

I also appear to be having a similar issue. I attached my most recent crash report. Please let me know if I can help further.

I am running a "hackintosh" with an Asus X79 Sabertooth mobo, Intel i7-3970x (Sandy Bridge-E 6 Core) chip, 16 GB of RAM, and two ATI 6450 cards.

    Thanks.

Sorry for the delay in getting back to you.

Could you try downloading Geekbench 3 and seeing if it still crashes for you? We've re-written the OS X interface from the ground up, so there's a good chance the bug you encountered has been fixed.

You can download Geekbench 3 for OS X from the following location:

    http://geekbench.s3.amazonaws.com/Geekbench-3.0.2-Mac.zip

Let me know whether or not this new version works for you.

    Thanks,
    John
