I was able to install geekbench on a linux system but I can't get it to run. There are four files in the directory, I treated each filename as a command, nothing runs...

    Hi Max,

I'm sorry you're having problems running Geekbench for Linux. You should be able to run Geekbench for Linux from the command line using one of the following commands:

    ./geekbench
    ./geekbench_x86_32

What output do you see when you run these commands?

    Thanks,
    John

    Hi,
I'm having same problems (Linux Mint 15). Whatever I was trying, the answer was always "Permission denied"

    Hi Igor,

I'm sorry for the delay in getting back to you. What happens if you run the following commands?

    chmod +x geekbench_x86_64
    ./geekbench_x86_64

    Thanks,
    John

Permissions are unchecked by default by linux mint etc. You have to right click it in the folder and go to permissions tab and check the box then you can drag it to terminal and hit enter to run it.
