VoodooPad on iPad and Mac

I have VoodooPad on my iPad and wanted to use it on my laptop; however its making me buy it again. Is it a different app for the different devices? if I work on something on my iPad will it not go to my laptop?

    VoodooPad for Mac and VoodooPad for iOS are separate purchases.

    There is a sync mechanism using Dropbox, where the VoodooPad documents get saved into ~/Dropbox/VoodooPad and then can be accessed on Mac, iPad, iPhone.

    I think it works best for markdown pages.
