VoodooPad 6 Preview 3 is available for download:
https://voodoopad.s3.amazonaws.com/VoodooPad-6.0.0-Preview3.zip
What's New?
- Add support for Apple Silicon Macs.
- Improve support for Big Sur.
- Improve page open performance.
- Improve page, inspector panel usability.
- Fix several issues with Dark Mode.
- Fix an issue where Web Export removed links from pages.
Whither iCloud?
iCloud support is not part of this release.
While working on iCloud support, we discovered the VoodooPad document architecture is antagonistic to the iCloud document architecture. Adding proper iCloud support will require a new document architecture, and that is a non-trivial undertaking.
As a result, we've decided to push iCloud support to VoodooPad 7. VoodooPad 6 will support iCloud using iCloud Drive (e.g., via the Desktop and Document folders on macOS) just as VoodooPad 5 does today.

It looks from scripting dictionaries list that VP6 still has Applescript. I'm hoping the final can as well as it's very useful.

Backlinks not showing in new VP6 docs, or VP 5 docs I've opened.

There is a bug in the "pages" listing. After filtering the list and clicking on a search result a totally different page will be opened. It's the page at the same position in the unfiltered list.

Is there a way to make the "Pages” pane remain visible after opening a link to a new page/tab? I did not see/find one.
If there is not such an option, could you add one (perhaps as a preference)? And if you do, could it preserve not only the visibility of the “Pages” pane but also the width?
Finally, thanks for offering some hope that VoodooPad has not died.
Best,
Darin

First of all, want to share my appreciation that you haven't abandoned VP yet.
Installed 6.0.0 (6573) on an M1 macbook under Big Sur 11.6. It opens documents.
I haven't dug too deeply as I don't want to endanger existing docs with corruption if something goes wrong, so only working with copies. Well, to be honest I did open some docs in VP6 that are shared on Dropbox and they don't seem to be corrupted in VP5.
Only thing I noticed on a quick run through is that you've removed the Pages Drawer. Is that going to be deprecated? Would hate to see it go, as I do use the Drawer as a handy navigation aid. The only alternative to see all the pages in a document is to use the floating Pages menu, but that's just not nearly the same. Most of my documents have an Index page with the drawer permanently open and then I open and close other tabs as needed.
After over a decade of using Voodoopad, I never knew that I could access line spacing from the Format Bar. Learn something new every day. I'm amazed.

I should have played with it more. Looks like you moved the Pages to where the Drawer used to be and no longer use a floating window. Is that right?
I should add that iCloud support is not a top feature that I need, but Dropbox support is.

Thanks, John, trying it out now. Have hit the same bug as Roman above.
Looking forward to this release! (And hoping for an iOS version sometime, too!)

I bought voodoopad on the Apple Store, how can I use voodoopad 6 preview and bypass the registration?

The preview is version #6573.
It has a couple of rendering problems with dark backgrounds, where VP uses dark text color on dark backgrounds.
