VoodooPad 6 was announced mid-2018. That was when the thread asking for suggestions was started
I rejoiced; VoodooPad is still a one of a kind note-taking app. The current version is outdated, though, and I was looking forward to things like proper syncing through iCloud.

However, I've been waiting for two and a half years now for VP 6 to arrive. There are a number of projects that I want to start, and I've postponed them for months now, waiting for a proper and familiar tool to work with, so that I wouldn't have to migrate a lot of stuff. But really, Primate Labs, my patience is running to an end now.

It is 2021 now. You announced VP6 two and a half years ago. How long do we still have to wait? How long do you think you can delay the new release before all your fans have run away, taking up other apps that may not be as good as VoodooPad, but which do actually exist?

I double that. If you'd commit to release v6 in 2021, I'd commit to "shut up and take my money" mode, but v6 is starting to look like DukeNuke Forever by now…

I understand your frustration! I had hoped we'd be able to ship VoodooPad 6 in 2020 but due to a number of issues (including the pandemic) that clearly didn't happen.

In the meantime I encourage you to check out the VoodooPad 6 preview releases -- they're meant to give folks a chance to use a more modern VoodooPad while it's still under development. I use VoodooPad 6 Preview 2 as my "daily driver" and it's been pretty stable for me, but if you do hit any problems with it please let us know!
