crash on linking with dropbox in iOS
Hi, great to see VP get some love. However, linking with Dropbox crashes my iPhone and now every launch repeats the instant crash...

Hi,
Thanks for reaching out to us about this, and I'm sorry for any trouble this may have caused. Could you let me know which iPhone you have VoodooPad installed on, and what version of iOS it has, so that we can take a closer look at this issue? In addition, could you tell me a bit more about what was happening before the crashes started to occur? For example, were you editing a document while being linked with a Dropbox account, were you linking to a Dropbox account, or did you install or reinstall VoodooPad?
All the best,
Colin

I’m having the same symptoms on a 2016 iPad Pro 9.7” with iOS 11.3. I’ve had the previous versions of Voodoo pad on both macOS and iOS. I double-checked that it was setup to sync with Dropbox, and found in the settings that sync was turned off. I turned it back on, then went to reopen Voodoo Pad on the iPad Pro, and it crashes as soon as it opens now...

As a workaround, would this work, either copy a new instance of the VoodooPad document into Dropbox. Or, if the Dropbox has the original one, save it as a new instance and try to open this one. Sometimes a re-save of a document updates internal database links and so forth.

Hi, sorry for the delay. This reliably happens on the latest iOS on both
an iPhone 8 and an iPad Pro 9.7" when it tries to sync. Clearly the
folder already on Dropbox contains something it doesn't like (but from
memory, it's only very simple files I was testing with. My experience of
sync and Voodoopad can most easily be summed up by the phrase 'file
corruption', I'm afraid.
I'm going to zip that dropbox folder and start afresh and see if that
works.
cheers

I went through all of the VP documents in the Dropbox folder using VoodooPad on my Mac, and found a couple of previously corrupted documents. I deleted and/or replaced them with a backup, and now syncing with the iOS app seems to working fine.

I also have this problem on an iPad mini running iOS 11.3.1. On start up VUDU pad displays the home screen for a few seconds then the screen turns black and the app quits. I will try to figure out if there is a corrupt dropbox file.

Try to re-save the VoodooPad document as a new document, this might clean up the database tables and other internal structures.

I am having the same issue on the 11 inch iPad. I have several large documents containing thousands of pages. How do I go about doing the fixes you suggest? Specifically
1. How do I find corrupted pages using the Mac app?
2. How do I save the whole documents as new documents?
