I am glad to learn that Voodoopad has a new owner dedicated to keeping it going and improving it.

One small suggestion. I'd like to see more white space built into the content pane. Right now the text bumps right up agains the top and left edges. While this may seem trivial, adding some pixels of what space will make the editor more readable.

Thank you and best of wishes.

I’m so happy to hear that VooDooPad has new ownership and that it will continue to be upkept and improved upon. I have relied on this app for many years to keep notes on each of my web development projects, as well as for personal use at home. One of my biggest fears has been that the app might be abandoned one day.

My very best wishes to you and your team, and thank you!

    Hi,

Thank you very much for your kind words! We're certainly intent on improving the VoodooPad experience and keeping it updated for a long time.

Stephen, would you mind letting me know if your suggestion is for the iOS application, the Mac application, or both?

    All the best,

    Hi, Colin,

I was thinking of the Mac application. Thank you!

I agree! Little things like that do make a big difference in usability.

I would also like to see the ability to scroll past the end of the text at the bottom of the window, like in BBEdit's preferences, where you can set "Extra vertical space in text views" to either "none," "Half window" (my favorite), or "Full window."

Also nice but not as big a deal would be the option to have extra inter-line spacing for plain text and Markdown pages (not just rich text), like in Ulysses's "General" preferences, where you can set "Paragraph spacing" to whatever you want. It has no effect on the actual content of the text or on the exported text; it's strictly for readability while you're working.

Add my voice to the chorus of those who are excited and hopeful that this old favorite unique app can come back to life!

Thanks for your suggestions Mat! I'll pass them along to my team as well.

There is currently support for changing line spacing for plain text page on Mac, through the Spacing option in the Format menu. Is this the kind of functionality you're looking for with markdown pages?

Yes! I didn't even notice that, since I just assumed Markdown and Plain
Text would behave pretty much the same way.
It's the paragraph spacing that I am most interested in. Also, not having
to set it on a page-by-page basis, but just being a global preference would
    be great.

So glad voodoopad has found a home at primate labs. I was pretty sure the software had died a quiet death, so this is fantastic news. Looking forward to see where it goes from here.

I'd just like to add my appreciation as well -- I'm so glad this app is being rescued. As a pretty serious home cook, I use VoodooPad as the perfect freeform recipe database, syncing between macOS and iOS, and I've never found anything else that works half as well for me. Thank you!

By the way, I like that the voodoo doll in the logo is now smiling. Is that your doing? If so, bravo. The old one was always kind of grim.

    Hi,

Thanks for the kind words! We did update the logo to be a little bit more upbeat; I'm glad you like it. If there's anything you'd like to see changed with VoodooPad in a future update, please let us know!

    @Mat,

Thanks for following up! I've passed your request for spacing option support for Markdown pages along to my team, and we'll see if we can incorporate it into a future update!

If implemented, I hope the content pane spacing is individually configurable -- I like cramming as much text into my available window space as possible so I don't have to scroll as much. :)

OTOH, I'd love to build PRINT margins into a page/document. I'm currently doing that as a random CLI add-on, but it would be better in preferences or the print dialogue.
