Sync VoodooPad and upgrade voodoopad

I have VoodooPad 4.3.6 on a 2017 MacBook air OS 10.14.2. I purchased this from flying meat. I have a dropbox account as well as icloud.

I have two questions.

1. I would like to sync VoodooPad on my desktop computer with my laptop. It appears to set for the old idisk.

2. I would also like to upgrade. Would I need to purchase VoodooPad 5 or is there an upgrade option? If I purchase 5 will it install over 4.3.6?
