voodoo pad 5.2.2 crashes upon opening iPhone 8+

No problems opening voodoo pad on iPad, or iPhone 6 or Mojave but crashes when opened on the iPhone 8+.
Is there a fix for this?

   Thanks for posting. Have you already tried re-installing VoodooPad on your iPhone 8+?

   I share my voodoo pad using dropbox.
   Should I download a new copy of VDP and re-install it on my laptop?
   Do I need to delete the old VDP or will the new one just install itself on
   top?

   If the app is crashing on iOS, sometimes deleting and re-installing the app fixes the issue. If you are already connected using Dropbox, it should stay connected and re-synchronize your documents upon downloading it again (if this fixes the crash). You should not need to re-download on your macOS laptop.

   Were you ever able to open VoodooPad on your iPhone 8+? If so, do you remember what happened before the crash started happening?
