opening old vpdocs (from version 4)

Something odd happens when I open an older vpdoc file that I've created in an earlier Voodoo Pad 4 app - a status alert pops up that says "Migrating <filename>.vpdoc..." and there is an oscillating back and forth completion bar at bottom of status alert panel - but it never completes or terminates the migration. There are no buttons to dismiss or cancel the migration status alert. In fact, when I close the doc being migrated, the status alert remains on screen. I have to quit the app totally for the alert to go away.

Luckily, this seems to be non-modal error as I can actually navigate around the VP doc (even though the migration stats alert never closes). Yet, when I reopen the file, the alert pops back up as if never converted. Annoying.

I am running Ventura 13.3 recent upgrade and VooDoo Pad 5.4.0 via the Mac app store.
