I decided to check the laptop and the system shows that it has only 14 cores, although there should be 16. please tell me if the indicators of my laptop are normal?

For the MacBook Pro 14 inch (2023) with M3 Max, Apple sold both 14 and 16 core versions. You confirm which version you have by going to System Settings then System Report (near bottom) then Hardware (top choice). There you will find a line for " Total Number of Cores:" which should say 14 or 16.
