CPU Benchmarks not reflecting real CPU speed used during the benchmark.
I ran the geekbench_x86_64 benchmark on one of my Linux boxes. I ran it with my CPUs set for:
POWER_PLAN=performance
and then for:
POWER_PLAN=powersave
in both results ( see image attached ) the bench mark # reflected the 'power plan' I had setup for the CPU but the clock speed was reported as the max speed for the CPU in both tests and if that had been the case, they should have had similar results.
https://browser.geekbench.com/v6/cpu/compare/9884598?baseline=9884916
Nothing other than the results tell me that one run was done with my systyem set for 'powersave' and one was set for 'performance'.
so.. how can we trust the 'results' if the correct system info is not recorded?
