Printout
I just bought Geekbench2 (all Platforms). I ran it on my current Dell Precision 4300 and it runs fine. How do I get a printout of the detail? I saved the file and opened it with gbconsole_x86_32.exe. It displays the details on a DOS screen. I don't remember how to get a printout from DOS any more, except it was intensely nutty.
I want to take the details to the MAC store to determine what level of MacBook Pro I need.
I run MATLAB a lot (which has a bench function) but the guys at
the MAC store didn't know what kind of a stunt I was trying to pull
over on them when I asked for a MATLAB Bench. If they don't have
geekbench, I'd spring for the $20.

Hi John,
Thanks for your message. The easiest way to save results (especially across multiple computers) is to submit the results to the Geekbench Result Browser. You can do that directly from Geekbench itself, or you can upload saved results using the following link (note that you need to have an account and be signed in to do this):
http://browse.geekbench.ca/geekbench2/offline
Alternatively you can use the following command line to save the result as a plain test file:
You can then open output.txt in Notepad and print the result from there.
Let me know if you have any other questions and I'd be happy to answer them!
Best,
John

Hi John
Do you consider in the future to have the ability of exporting results directly to a PDF file?

Oren,
Thanks for your reply!
I'm a math/engineering type. How would PDF help? I'm not good on computer
science mickeymouse. Assuming PDF would help, what frammis would I have to
master? I pay for my own MATLAB so I'm not a cheapskate but how much would
a PDF maker cost?

Hi Oren,
Exporting results to PDF isn't something I've considered, but it is something I could investigate. I've added it to the backlog but I can't say when (or even if) it'll be implemented. Is this something critical to your workflow or is it something that would be nice to have?
Best,
John
