JSON processor_frequency

If I look at a JSON description of a GB6 run (and GB5 is the same I think), it has an entry for processor_frequency which itself has about 40 values that are approximately near the top single thread frequency for a given chip.

Example:

https://browser.geekbench.com/v6/cpu/7997918.gb6
https://browser.geekbench.com/v6/cpu/7997918

When during the benchmark are those frequencies measured? Do they have any relationship to the frequencies of the processor during the Single-Core performance benchmarks? Just by eye, I've noticed test results with GB6 SC scores lower than the average for a given processor seem to have greater fluctuations from maximum (more lower frequencies reported here), but I might be fooling myself. That said, I don't see how they might relate to individual subtests as there tend to be about 40 values for processor_frequency and 16 subtests.
