Geekbench 4/5 won't start on some Android devices

we have three Android phones in our family. On a OnePlus 6T, Geekbench 4 and 5.1 work fine, but on a cheaper Blackview device I always get the message: "Geekbench encountered an error communicating with the Geekbench Browser" and I can't start the test. Internet connection is working fine in other apps. I also tried it on an older Gigaset smartphone and got the same message.
Is there a solution to this?

Considering your report is the first of its kind I presume something is wrong with your Blackview device: most likely it's down to its ROM.

If you can try factory resetting it, update it fully without installing any apps and check if the bug persists.
