A huge discrepancy between Linux and Windows results for a particular test

For the Ryzen 7 3700X CPU:

Image Inpainting Single Threaded Mode

Windows: ~2550 points
Linux: ~1300 points

Looks like there's some optimization in Windows GB 5.0.2 which is missing or doesn't work in Linux GB 5.0.0.

    Could you share the complete results for both the Windows and Linux runs on the system?

    Just open the latest V5 results - they all paint the same picture.

    We've identified the root cause of this issue and it will be fixed in Geekbench 5.1 which will be released next month.

    It is not specific to Ryzen:

    Look at the difference for the i9-9980H, and the score for this test being much higher on Windows than Linux:

    It's ok now. Just downloaded 5.1.0 and the performance difference issue is gone.

    Yep, I can confirm that as well. Even mentioned in the release notes.
