I ran version 4.4.2 of Geekbench on my Mid 2006 Mac Pro. I wanted to determine what newer PC should I use to have similar performances. But the score I got is too high (1733 & 7807, see attachment). Am I doing something wrong?

I apologize for the delayed response. The result you have seems to be similar to many of the Geekbench 4 results for the Mac Pro (8-core) that users have uploaded to the Geekbench Browser. You can find search results containing those user-provided scores here.

If you are comparing your score to Geekbench 5 scores, note that scores are not comparable between Geekbench 4 and Geekbench 5. Geekbench 5 features new and substantially changed workloads that cannot be compared directly to Geekbench 4's, and its scores tend to be lower in order to be more digestible.

    Thansk Colin..

The point indeed is that I compared the scores from different GeekBench

Comparing to the right ones I got the info I needed.

    Many thanks for your answer
