We're unable to reproduce the issue with Geekbench 4 for iOS on the iOS 13 GM. For users on modern hardware we strongly recommend upgrading to Geekbench 5, as it provides a far more realistic measure of performance than Geekbench 3.

Johntag:support.primatelabs.com,2011-01-31:Comment/476160822019-09-21T17:15:07Z2019-09-22T06:44:20ZiOS 13 App Crashes On Launch

i mean we paid for the app before so meaning the update should be free, not by updating the app per ios update and asking old customers to pay again for the updated app. it’s unfair. if i’ll be upgrading from geekbench 3 to 5 i would have to pay for it, again, like come on, the upgrade should be free since we already purchased the app. like, do u pay for twitter if it gets updated? or pay for other apps if it gets updated? no. and clearly you guys are.

jpyeoltag:support.primatelabs.com,2011-01-31:Comment/476160822019-09-22T05:35:50Z2019-09-22T05:35:50ZiOS 13 App Crashes On Launch

Our business model is different than Twitter's business model. They sell advertising, we sell software. If you're not happy with the fact we charge for major upgrades, then please don't purchase the upgrade.

Johntag:support.primatelabs.com,2011-01-31:Comment/476160822019-09-22T06:35:42Z2019-09-22T06:35:42ZiOS 13 App Crashes On Launch

Are you actually proofreading what you’re posting? I couldn’t give a rats arse what business model you employ, I have the exact same phone prior to the iOS update and I was using it just fine until it was decided you need to stop support and move to other version. If I wanted or knew this was happening I would’ve purchased (key word here) that version so I don’t have this conversation with someone so cocky and ignorant. Organise to rectify this or else this is going to hurt you in the long run. Not supporting old versions to force people to pay for the upgrade is greedy and unethical. It seems like the app was updated to NOT support the new version of iOS. Microsoft uses the same business model and supported the windows XP for 12 years. I think us users should complain to Apple. Johns response is proof that Primal Labs is intentionally not supporting older software. Take a screenshot before he removes his posts.

If I end up having to buy the new app, the review will not be nice.

Westontag:support.primatelabs.com,2011-01-31:Comment/476160822019-09-23T04:26:36Z2019-09-23T04:26:36ZiOS 13 App Crashes On Launch

Geekbench 3 was first released over six years ago, and Geekbench 3 for iOS was removed from sale over three years ago. At some point we have to drop support for older releases and focus on our newer releases.

I understand that folks are frustrated but I don't think this discussion will be productive moving forward so I'm closing the thread.

John
