Performance metric with or without software running in the background

I am trying to determine how much does our internal company's added software affect the performance of our machines.
Is Geekbench a good tool to get a score of a machine with process running in the background like anti-virus, adobe cloud, or VPN software; and then compare it with a machine that does not have those items running in the background.

Thank you

If those background processes are stealing significant CPU resources then that should show up in Geekbench results.
