Illegal instruction

I have a AMD Athlon xp2000+ which is comparable to a Pentium 4, but I'm getting "Illegal instruction" when I try to run geekbench 4 benchmark on Linux. Geekbench 2 works. Why isn't this processor supported on geekbench 4 if the Pen4 is?

Geekbench 4 requires a Pentium 4 or compatible processor. The AMD Athlon XP 2000+ is not compatible as it does not support several instructions the Pentium 4 supports, such as SSE2.
