Geekbench not stressing my system properly, why?

So I'm trying to understand something. I ran geekbench on my new i9 9900k running at 5ghz on all cores. (Including AVX workloads) and got a score I found to be abit lacking. I reran the geekbench while monitoring power draws and CPU boosts and in comparison when running benchmarking tools the CPU doesn't run at 5.0 for very long (seconds at a time) and regularly throttles down to 800mhz. It's not a temperature issue as I don't get over 40c on the package. On top of that the power draw on the cpu never goes past 100w. Usually when running that cpu at full tilt with other benchmarking programs it pulls almost 200w.
So basically geekbench is not stressing the system at 100% why is that?
