Have you previously been able to run the benchmark and view it in the Geekbench Browser? Also, which version of Geekbench 4 are you currently running (e.g. Geekbench 4.3.0)?

Sarahtag:support.primatelabs.com,2011-01-31:Comment/463401152018-10-31T07:02:01Z2018-10-31T07:02:01Zcan't read the results due to server connection error

Hi Sarah,
Sorry for the late reply.
No, it's the first time I'm running Geekbench on this MacBook Air.
It's the one I downloaded from your site last week -- 4.3.0 (401258)

Thanks,

Coming back here, this error is happening again.
The SSL certificate for https://browser.geekbench.com expired a few days ago.

If the machine has a broken temp sensor, the SMC throttles the machine down to 800mhz. There is no way for someone know this has happened, besides seeing the unit act weird. The OS reports just the printed system spec - both the system profiler or any “system monitoring utility” lies. The only way to know for sure is to use the Intel Gadget to see the actual CPU speeds and power demand. Guess what doesn’t work on these old machines pre ~2009? Intel’s Power Gadget. So seeing a drastically lower benchmark is the ONLY WAY to diagnose a secret SMC throttle. Please update this app to still function, so we can diagnose issues.

John Wilistag:support.primatelabs.com,2011-01-31:Comment/463401152022-06-07T13:04:58Z2022-06-07T13:05:02Zcan't read the results due to server connection error

SOLUTION:
- remove the app from Applications folder, let in the downloads folder.. And voilà it works again

videlam
