My phones Metal benchmarking states it is at 14952 instead of actual benchmark what are processes I can take to improve my benchmark for Metal

    Thanks for reaching out to us about this. The average Metal compute benchmark score for the iPhone 8 Plus is 15330, according to the iOS Benchmark Chart on the Geekbench Browser here.

    Lower than expected scores can be caused by running a benchmark in low-power mode or running a benchmark with substantial processes running in the background. They can also be caused by software or hardware issues, which we do not diagnose. If you suspect that software or hardware issues are affecting your score, we recommend running the potentially affected benchmark 3-4 times over several days and taking your device to a local Apple Store for inspection if the scores are consistently low.

    In this case, your score is fairly close to the average score. Your typical use case and personal preferences regarding maintenance of electronics will determine whether or not this score represents a level of performance suitable for your needs.
