Thanks for reaching out to us about this, and I'm sorry for any confusion. The average iPhone 5s battery score based on user-submitted results is 798, which is available on our website here. The battery score displayed in the application should be similar to 798 -- could you let me know where you see a score of approximately 1230 (or ideally, provide a screenshot of where you can see this number)?

On my iPhone, after I run the battery test, and go to History, and the Battery Tab (on the right) it shows Battery Comparisons. (for the particular test mine was 957) I can scroll down through the list and find the 5s with a score of 1269.

I see on your website that it is listed as 798. I’m not sure why there are two entirely different values. I notice that the battery comparison numbers on your App on my phone are consistently higher than the numbers on your website.

FWIW my Single Core, Multi Core and Metal scores are close to your benchmarks shown on my phone and your website

The Battery Life App shows that my battery is about 77% of a new battery, which would be consistent with comparison numbers your App has for my phone.

The CPU

I’m obviously trying to decide whether it is time to replace the battery in my phone. 75% doesn’t seen to bad, and the phone doesn’t seem to be slowed down, but It does run down the battery faster than I would like.

Thanks for following up. Could you let me know what version of Geekbench 4 (e.g. 4.2.0) is installed on your device? Geekbench 4 received an update which corrected several battery benchmark results provided in the application, so if your copy of Geekbench isn't fully updated that could be the cause of this discrepancy. The scores provided for comparison in the application should be very similar to the ones on the Geekbench Browser.

Version 4.2.1 I just downloaded it last week.

Thanks

I see, that is very unusual. Thanks for your patience through this process so far. Could you send me a screenshot of the incorrect score that is provided for comparison?

The next update of Geekbench 4 (4.2.2) should address any issues with scores provided for comparison, but we are interested in learning about any inaccuracies that existed in 4.2.1 or earlier.

I see, thank you very much! Geekbench 4.2.2 should be available on the App Store soon. Please let me know if you notice any continuing issues after updating to version 4.2.2, and I'll investigate right away.

I am using geek bench on my iphone 5s,ios 11.3.1, geek bench version 4.2.3 and as user above also my battery bench mark is not in the range you mentioned (representative of geek). You said update will fix this issue but still the issue persists.
When will next update will be released to fix this issue.

ADtag:support.primatelabs.com,2011-01-31:Comment/447484222018-05-28T15:03:12Z2018-05-28T15:03:12ZiPhone 5s Battery Benchmarks

Hi AD,

Thanks for reaching out to us about this. The score provided for comparison is the average battery score for the device based on user-submitted results, which for the iPhone 5s battery benchmark is currently 806 (which you can find on the Geekbench Browser here). It seems that at the time that your battery benchmark finished, the average battery score for the iPhone 5s was 802.

In a previous update of Geekbench 4, the comparison score for the iPhone 5s was incorrectly displayed as approximately 1250. This issue has been addressed, and it should not have changed your result's score at any point. Based on your screenshots, your result and the comparison score provided appear to be accurate.

If you have any other questions, please let me know and I would be happy to help out.
