All reviews round this number up to 3GB. I'm aware that the real-world impact of this difference is minor, but the nerd in me wants to know why this might be. Are reviewers just rounding up and not caring, or is there a reason why both models might have the same RAM but this app reports a discrepancy?

Natetag:support.primatelabs.com,2011-01-31:Comment/440565842017-11-17T15:22:16Z2017-11-17T15:22:16ZiPhone X has less RAM than iPhone 8 Plus?

Hi,

Thanks for reaching out to us about this. Geekbench 4 reports the RAM reported by the operating system, which often differs from the physical RAM in the device since some of the RAM will be reserved for system processes. The value that Geekbench 4 reports is the amount of RAM that is generally available to applications.

All the best,
