Compute Benchmark

I own a Huawei Mate 9, the one with Amazon Alexa(MHA-L29).
Kirin 960, 4 GB ram, Android 7.0
Every time I try to run the compute benchmark, it crashes.
The Cpu benchmark runs fine.
I don't understand why. There is no error message.
Is there some setting that needs to be changed, or is it a compatability issue?
Thank you,

Thanks for letting us know about this, and I apologize for the inconvenience caused by this issue. I will pass your report along to our developers and let you know if there are any updates as soon as I can.

To help us investigate more quickly, could you let me know what workload Geekbench is running when it crashes? It should say "Running _____" in the progress window.

    Hi Colin,
Thanks for the prompt response. It crashes at the "SFFT".

I can confirm this on my Honor 9 with same Kirin 960 chipset as in Mate 9. The problem seems to be related to RenderScript since on Geekbench Pro with OpenCL compute it doesnt crash. Using RenderScript in Pro version also causes a crash.
I have included a short video about this.
