I don't think that this issue relates to the Geekbench application in any way. It sounds like there is an Amazon device with the model identifier KFDOWI connected to your network. If you don't expect a device matching that description to be connected to your network, I would recommend reviewing your network settings to ensure that your wifi has a strong password, that your devices aren't configured to connect to other devices without your permission, etc. There are a number of good guides for network security online which may help to address your concern.

My Windows networks show a "douglas" with Amazon model KFDOWI. The properties show a MAC address and nothing more about it. I can't find that MAC address in the devices connected to our router. Unless my brother has the device without us knowing about it someone is using our network without permission. I wish I had a way to connect to the device or at least find it in our router's connections.

samtag:support.primatelabs.com,2011-01-31:Comment/436154972017-12-31T23:20:46Z2017-12-31T23:20:47ZWhy is this icon showing in my computer network if I didn't download it?

Douglas shows up on my network, too: Amazon model KFDOWI, just like yours, Sam.
I am posting the MAC address so that others can check the MAC address they are getting. If the MAC address is the same (for the corresponding device) then we know it can't be in your neighborhood at the same time as every one else.

To answer the question of whether we have any of those devices, no. And it is not someone walking or driving by. It might be a neighbor.

Note that this is showing in my (our) networks in the Windows Files Explorer. The smartphones and tablets we have do not do that, unless they connect to my system explicitly. If they connect to the network then they show up in the router but not in my computer's network. So it is not just a nearby device using our internet connection.

For those with these phantom devices in your Networks, try this. In the Files Explorer go to Networks. Then select the View menu then click on Details. Then right-click in the header. If you are able to do all that then you will see a context menu allowing you to select/unselect columns to be shown. Click on "Network location" and "Discovery Method". For me for the phantom devices the "Network location" is blank whereas all the other devices in my network have a network interface (Ethernet 4 for me) for "Network location". The "Discovery Method" is "WCN" which is also different from all the other devices. "WCN" is "Windows Connect Now". Windows Connect Now is Microsoft's version of Wi-Fi Protected Setup (WPS). Note that the current version of the protocol is named Wi-Fi Simple Configuration (WSC). The Microsoft documentation says that WCN can be managed but they only describe how to do it using GPO and most home users don't have GPO. If you know how to start and stop Windows Services then you can stop "Windows Connect Now - Config Registrar" if it is running but then change it to "Disabled". I don't know what that might prevent us from doing but you can always change it back to "Manual", which is normal for it. Evidently Windows starts the service when it needs to.
