I'd like to suggest to the developers of Geekbench to exploit the new GPU architecture of Apple's A11 SoC which now supports access to the tiler memory, imageblocks and communication among threads and threadgroups by reimplementing the benchmarking algorithms (eg. FFT and image processing) to use those new features.
The A11 might not be that much faster relatively to the previous iPhone, but it compensates it by the new, awesome architecture. I'm curious how would A11 compare to A10X on the compute benchmark when using the new features of GPU Family 4!

Thanks for your suggestion! I will pass it along to the development team and let you know if there are any updates.
