with Geekbench 3 I have a score of 10230 (at stock
frequencies).
http://browser.primatelabs.com/geekbench3/681570
With my quad socket (HP DL 580 G5 / 4 x Xeon E7450) I have a score
of 21674 (at stock frequencies).
http://browser.primatelabs.com/geekbench3/8056820

Now with Geekbench 4 the best score for a Mac Pro 3.1 with 2 x
Xeon E5462 is of 8892.
http://browser.primatelabs.com/v4/cpu/418758
While with my quad socket (HP DL 580 G5 / 4 x Xeon E7450) I have a
score of 9713.
http://browser.primatelabs.com/v4/cpu/421051

With Geekbench 3 my 4 Xeon E7450 make a higher score than twice
of 2 Xeon E5462 and also a supperior score (than best score) of the
core i7 6700.

With Geekbench 4 my 4 Xeon E7450 are barely a score better than
2 Xeon E5462 and much lower than the Core i7 6700 ...

EDIT :
Here is the comparison of rankings Geekbench 3 vs Geekbench 4, the
classification remains the same for new architectures but older
architectures strongly regressed !

My dual Quad-Xeon Mac Pro 1,1 (piker-alpha boot.efi OSX 10.11.6
64GB upgraded with the X5355 @ 2.66 Ghz quad-cores) still kicks
butt on my Windows 7 i5 3570K hobby machine (Windows 7 Pro 32GB)
(in real life heavy-duty CAD rendering on the CPUs), but scores way
lower on the new GeekBench 4 tests. On GeekBench 3, at least, they
were neck and neck...

I've started to use GeekBench 4 only for relative CUDA testing
on the various GTX cards. For useful CPU/System benchmarks I have
found Blender Cycles 2.78, CineBench R15, and Maxwell Benchwell
3.2.1.5 to be much more accurate when comparing real-life
performance.

In real life, my Mac Pro 1,1 renders out images about 175%
faster than my i5 3570K, even a good bit faster than the i7 3770K.
My Mac Pro 5,1s w/ dual Hex-Xeon @ 2.67 Ghz are nearly 3 times
faster than my Mac Pro 1,1, above; but you couldn't tell it from
the GeekBench 4 tests...! My Mac Pro 5,1 w/ dual Hex-X5690s @ 3.46
Ghz is stunningly even much, much faster than that!

My work flow has gone to rendering previews on local GPU; and
final, massive scenes on multiple fast networked dual Xeon CPUs w/
max memory (up to 128Gb on my classic Mac Pros).

Take care,
