GeekBench 3 freezes on Windows Embedded 8.1 Industrial Pro

I hope I'm not pushing the envelope of GeekBench usage, but I'm trying to run GeekBench 3 on a tablet PC running Windows Embedded 8.1 Industrial Pro, running a Celeron N2930 at 1.83 GHz, with 4 GB of RAM. In most ways this is a pokey, battery conserving implementation that shouldn't be pushing an performance boundaries, but I'd like to measure its performance just the same using GeekBench, because it is the tool we've used most often in the past for benchmarking PC's. However, it freezes with the application splash screen displayed. Can I have some help understanding what has failed, and maybe get some help to work around a problem so I can get some reliable measurements.
