assessing benchmark scores
Just ran my first Geekbench test. I have an "Early 2008 Mac Pro" Intel Xeon X5472 @ 3.00 GHz 2 Processors, 8 Cores. My "Single-Core Score" is 1623, well below the baseline score of 2500, my Multi-Core Score is 11271, 4.5 times the baseline score. Is there a way to determine that my Mac Pro is operating at expected speeds? When compared to a similar machine? I'm running Geekbench because Techtool Pro is taking hours to produce a report and I suspect the problem is with the speed of my Mac, which is why I purchased Geekbench.
