Geekbench 2 and 3 both crash at the splash screen on Windows 10 Enterprise Technical Preview x64. I am running it in Hyper-V on a Dell Venue 11 Pro 7139. I haven't tried Windows 10 x86, but I will.

Thanks! I have been doing some further testing, and I have found that Geekbench Tryout runs without problem on both Windows 10 x86 builds, but crashes on both x64 builds in Hyper-V on Windows 8.1 Update 1 Enterprise x64. Let me know if you need further information. I have attached related event log files. Let me know if you need me to do additional testing, or need additional information.

Same error - crash on splash screen. Tried running in compatibility for Win8 but doesn't work.

Same error - works for x86 builds but not on x64.

    Hi Theo,

I'm sorry for the delay in getting back to you. Could you download the following build and let me know if it works on your system?

    Thanks,

    Hi John -

Any luck getting Geekbench 2 x64 (64-bit) to work with Windows Technical Review? Mine still crashes after the splash screen ("...has stopped working", etc.)

(I know you've pretty much retired GB2 - but still...a lot of us licensed users - myself, included - still value it and run it from time to time)

    Thanks!

    Hi Paul,

Are you running Windows 10 under a virtual machine?

    Thanks,
    John

    Hi Paul,

Interesting! We believed the crash was limited to virtual machines but it seems that is not the case. Geekbench 2 is no longer under active development so unless the fix is trivial I don't expect we will be able to provide a build that works on Windows 10. I apologize for any issues this might cause with your benchmarking workflow.

    Best,
    John

I can't get it to run either in 10x64, same problem. The link you provided earlier doesn't work anymore, do you have another link that works?
