"Internal timer error detected." after clean install?
"Geekbench has detected a 6.69e+003s difference between the clock (7.1+003s) and the high-resolution timer (404s) on your system. Since this difference can affect benchmark results, Geekbench will not display the benchmark results."
I just got this new used machine (in mint condition):
Machine ThinkPad X61s (64 bit)
Operating system: Windows 7 Home Premium 32 bit
2x1 GB DDR2 RAM
My new Kingston SSD
And I got this error after a clean install and the first thing I run after the install was Geekbench. Should I worry about the RAM, CPU, motherboard or what? (The RAM just passed 8 cycles of Memtest.) Searched the Internets for a solution but no help. Thanks.
On a side note, does the amount if RAM affects benchmark results?

It's very unusual to see a 6690s difference between the clock and the high-resolution timer. This large difference suggests that there's a problem with your system. While it's difficult for me to determine where the problem might be, I have a hunch that it's a misconfigured (or missing) Windows driver. You can use Windows Update to make sure that you've installed the right drivers for your system. The following page provides details on how to do that:

Thanks. Truly, I haven't installed any update just started Geekbench after Widows first started. I am curious of the difference in scores with and without the proper drivers, though.

Missing drivers can have an impact on Geekbench scores, as well as performance in general, but in my experience the difference is minimal (maybe 10%).
