I wanted to run a bench test on my old Power book G4. Running 10.4.11. I downloaded the mac version of geekbench and uncompressed it to get the icon. When I click the icon, nothing happens. There is a little flash like something is going to happen, then nothing. No program is open. Is this only for dual core or will it run power pc mac? Thanks.

    Hi Nate,

Thanks for your message. Geekbench 2.2.3 and later do not support Mac OS X 10.4. Yu can, however, download an older version of Geekbench which supports Mac OS X 10.4 from the following location:

    http://s3.amazonaws.com/geekbench/Geekbench-2.1.13-Mac.dmg.gz

    Best,

Thanks John, the old version worked fine. Came up with a score of 840 on my G4 1.5 GHZ 160GB HD. Can't wait to get a new mac this year.
