"This result has been flagged as inaccurate." How about a Reason?
Just stumbled across a result in a Geekbench thread in a forum
I'm visiting.
The result was flagged as inaccurate, with (as usual) no
explanation why. Maybe I'm blind or something, but to me there's
nothing immediately obvious that seems to be wrong with the result
(unlike some other results I've seen with way over 50k points or a
Pentium1 200MHz which was mis-detected as being 32GHz).
Could you guys possibly add a reason when flagging results as inaccurate if it isn't immediately obvious what's wrong with it (like a ridiculously high score for example) ?
The flagged result from the forum thread is this one (2GHz P4
Willamette (Socket 423) on a Asus P4T with RDRAM)

Hi Patrik,
Thank you for your message, and I'm sorry for the confusion our "flagged as inaccurate" message causes. Right now the message indicates that the Geekbench Browser suspects the result was altered prior to uploading. This process only provides a yes/no answer, and is unable to provide feedback into why the Geekbench Browser suspects the result. We'll look into ways of improving this system to provide more feedback.
Let me know if you have any other questions and I'd be happy to help out.
Best,
John

It looks as though this problem has not been solved. I just uploaded three tests and they all have the error "This result has been flagged as inaccurate."
I thought it might be a Firefox problem so I fired up IE10 and ended up with the same error message. What puzzles me is that I don't see any opportunity to alter the results because they are uploaded before being displayed locally. ??
Please explain how this affects our uploaded results. Does it exclude them from the master list? If so I would hope someone is fast tracking a solution.
Thanks for you time.
Larry

Hi Larry,
Do you have a link to the results that were flagged? I'd like to dig into why your results were flagged as inaccurate.
Results flagged as inaccurate are excluded from the benchmark charts, from search queries, and from the master index. They can still be viewed if you have the link, though.
Let me know if you have any other questions and I'd be happy to help out.
Best,
John

Hi John,
Sorry about the late reply... Here are three flagged links for my Acer V5-122P.
http://browser.primatelabs.com/geekbench3/63751
http://browser.primatelabs.com/geekbench3/63768
http://browser.primatelabs.com/geekbench3/63774
I have two other systems that upload fine.
http://browser.primatelabs.com/geekbench3/63815
http://browser.primatelabs.com/geekbench3/63868
I did a search on Acer V5-122P and get results from others that are not flagged. I hope this info helps you in tracking down the probem.
Thanks again for your time.
Larry

Hi Larry,
Thanks for sending me the results that were flagged. There was a bug in the Geekbench Browser that caused the Browser to flag valid results (such as yours) as invalid. The bug has been fixed and the flag has been removed from your results.
Let me know if you encounter any other problems and I'd be happy to help out.
Best,
John
